Groundhog Day meets Lost In Translation
Here's a dialogue that takes place routinely at my office... Morning, as I arrive to work... Colleague: You came by your bicycle?
Me: Yes
C: Oh, but traffic in Taipei is so dangerous!
Me: I know. I'm careful. Thank you.
(Same day) Evening, before I leave work...
(Same) colleague: You go by your bicycle home?
Me: Yes.
C: Oh, but traffic in Taipei is so dangerous!
Me: I know.
Sometimes I feel I'm Bill Murray and living in Taiwan is like Groundhog Day and Lost In Translation fused into one.
